Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner.
I remember seeing the trailers waaaaaaaaay back years ago and thinking "Ooooh, quirky mech game, do want!'.
Then I didn't end up buying it.
So last year, I picked up the first game for five bucks and had a blast....for two hours. So shallow and incomplete-feeling.
Then about two months ago, a buddy of mine brings over a big stack of vidya gaems, and I spot 2nd Runner there. I gave it a play, and my mind was blown. I ordered my own copy three weeks ago.
It finally arrived yesterday, and after a mere four hours and twenty minutes, it's done.
BUT FUCKING HELL, WHAT A RIDE FOR LESS THAN FIVE HOURS!
No joke, probably the best gameplay/presentation combo out there. Amazing visuals, cool traditionally animated cutscenes, great music, finely tuned combat system and oldschool style "trial and error" boss fights.
Yeah, the story is sorta meh and the voice acting could use more zazz, but the overall package is insanely satisfying.
There's also replay value this time, as another run through the game yields some nice bonuses and Extra Mission Mode is actually fun and fairly lengthy.
So yeah, go fucking buy this right now if you don't have it.

Bought even more faggotshit off eBay, including like fucking 30 VHS tapes.
Now to not buy anything for the next three weeks.
It's not as if I'll be at a loss for things to do to distract me from senseless commerce.
I can alternate between watching CLAMP School Detectives and playing Gungrave while wearing a novelty t-shirt or something.
