You want a nice dumb action movie, go rent Shoot 'Em Up. Clive Owen kills people with carrots. Lot of bullet casings, and witty puns flying all around as well. It's a ton of fun.
Also, how do you think Samurai Champloo compares with Cowboy Bebop?
I heard Shoot 'Em Up is a moronic funfest.
As for Champloo comparing to Bebop, despite some similarities and the presence of Shinichiro Watanabe as director, the two shows are very different (Bebop is more episodic, Champloo has multi-part arcs, etc.). In terms of overall quality, Bebop is heads and tails over Champloo, and I regard Champloo as a masterpiece.
It is moronic, but it's all good fun. Watch these two scenes and you'll see what I mean:
