Actually I've never watched it before, or seen any of it anywhere before, I just wanted to screw with you because (as far as I can tell) you apparently hate it.

I had the film about 12 years ago. And it was great, i always liked it, even though the deaths were a bit exaggerated (i mean, sticking a finger into a guys chest and making him explode!?). I recently saw a ´new fist of the north star´ dvd in a shop near my house, and cos it was pretty cheap, i brought it, only to be let down ;_;
New Fist doesn't touch the grandiose epicness of the original.

I use to tape this show on Starz Action Channel (they show Anime at 11 PM Central on Fridays) and I laughed every time someone said "I will destroy you! Man with seven scars" and then Kenshiro kills them without breaking a sweat and makes their heads explode. He then says what the move is. That made me laugh every single time.
Holy shit I loved Fist of the North Star (or Hokuto no Ken in Japan)... would it anger you in any way if I told you it was Shonen?
